Nintendo Wii

The Nintendo Wii is my favorite system, only because it helps me get off my ass by having fun and getting some exercise at the same time. Of the 3 major video game systems discussed in this article, the Nintendo Wii is definitely the most interactive and they sell really well at Christmas time…right around the time you decide to lose weight for your News Years Resolution…

Many people use the Wii in their exercise routines thanks to Nintendo’s use of a motion sensitive controller. So now, rather than just giving your fingers a workout by pressing buttons, you need to move and jerk around your entire body in all sorts of contortions. It can get pretty funny sometimes, but man oh man what a workout.

Every Wii game will determine on the type of workout you get. Playing their Golf game for example means you have to swing your arms and body to play the game, just as though you were actually playing golf. Playing the Wii Tennis game works the same.

Don’t ask me which one is my favorite workout though, because as of this writing there are 1056 video games available for the Nintendo Wii. Having said that, I am a sucker for great golfing.

Two great points that I like about the Nintendo Wii system are that:

• – it will cost you less than either the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 and
• - it is probably the best system where you can involve your friends and the whole family to join in the fun.

One word of warning though if you are looking to buy the Nintendo Wii as part of your “exercise” equipment. As with any exercise or weight loss routine – MOST PEOPLE WILL JUST GIVE UP WAY TOO SOON!

It seems some people get so burned out after playing their very first game, that it ends up being their last game as well. As fun as the Wii is, it can also be a lot of work for many of us couch potatoes. Don’t just get off the couch after sitting there for 10 years and decide to suddenly get up and play your brand new Wii system for 6 hours. Trust me, you will suffer…just like I did. I hurt for 3 days. Playing on the Nintendo Wii is one gaming console where you need to play their games – s l o w l y  – at least until you get used to it.

So, there you have it. These three video game systems are your starting point. From there you need to do your homework. But the more homework you do the better your buying decision will be. He also said that they are selling more Xbox 360 gaming consoles more than any other store in Canada. Although the PlayStation 3 is still very popular it still trails in 3rd place.
